Trade Rejection Codes

Codes used to reject trades.

Trades Will Not Be Reconsidered With 'Hard' Indicator

Trade rejection codes that are marked with 'hard' involve legality situations that cannot be remedied during the specific trade month and/or waived by the flight attendant. If you have a trade that was rejected, and received one of the codes shown below with 'hard', then it will not be reconsidered during subsequent runs of the trade award program.

Trades May Be Reconsidered With 'Soft' Indicator

Trade rejection codes that are marked with 'soft' involve softer legality situations that can possibly be remedied. If you have a trade that was rejected, and received one of the codes shown below with 'soft', and you indicated a Y in the retain field of the trade request, then your trade will be reconsidered during subsequent runs of the trade award program.

Example: A flight attendant receives a RJ7 -- F/A ONSL rejection code. Subsequently, that flight attendant takes two aspirin, calls his doctor in the morning, and feels well enough to go off sick leave. Therefore, the next time the trades are run he/she may get that trade after all. Provided, of course, someone more senior doesn't snatch it up or it gets rejected for another reason.
