| Get married | Enroll your spouse by calling the service center within 30 days of the marriage. Coverage begins on the date of marriage. If you opt not to cover your spouse within 30 days of marriage and wish to cover them later, you can only enroll them at the next open enrollment period. |
| Get divorced | Terminate spouse's coverage by calling the service center within 30 days of the event. Your spouse's coverage will end on the last day of the month of the divorce. If you don't terminate your spouse's coverage after a divorce, you will be responsible to pay for any HMO/DHMO premiums and claims paid, as well as, full-fare reimbursement for any travel taken after a dependent becomes ineligible for coverage. |
| Want to add a qualified domestic partner | Enroll your domestic partner by calling the service center within 30 days of the date the person becomes your qualified domestic partner. Coverage begins on the date the person becomes your qualified domestic partner. If you opt not to cover your domestic partner within the 30 days and wish to cover them later, you can only enroll them at the next open enrollment period. |
| Terminate a domestic partner relationship | Terminate domestic partner's coverage by calling the service center within 30 days of the date the person no longer qualifies as a domestic partner. Coverage for your domestic partner will end on the last day of the month. If you don't terminate your domestic partner's coverage in the allotted time, you will be responsible to pay for any HMO/DHMO premiums and claims paid, as well as, full-fare reimbursement for any travel taken after a dependent becomes ineligible for coverage. You may not add another domestic partner for six months. |
| Have a baby or adopt a child | Enroll your dependent by calling the service center within 30 days of the event date (birth, adoption, etc.) Coverage begins on the event date. If you opt not to cover your child within 30 days of birth or adoption and wish to cover them later, you can only enroll them at the next open enrollment period. |
| Experience a death of a dependent, spouse/domestic partner | Call the service center to notify them of death within 30 days of the event. |
| Move/Change your address | Change your address in SkyNet by going to PeopleNet under the Main Menu, selecting My Info and then My Personal Information. International employees and Flight Attendants should continue to follow their normal procedures to change their home addresses or contact their supervisor if they have questions. If your address change causes you to be eligible for different benefit plans, you will receive an enrollment form to change your benefit plans. You have 30 days from the date you input an address change in PeopleNet to make benefit elections. Changes will become effective the first of the month after you input your address change. |
