This new section was from an idea that grew from the Dec 18, 2004 commentary. This is a resource center for those wishing to create Plan B in their lives. Plan B will initially consist of a series of steps.
We are currently presenting: Step 1.
Just FYI, we will be working through and following these guidelines ourselves also. This is a learning and discovery process---and we'll all be doing it together, so to speak.

The first step to enact a positive change is to get your mental state in order. This means doing a mental review of exactly where you are today:
They say you can't study very well on an empty stomach. Well, ditto for an uncertain and confused mental state. Remember, we spend a majority of our work life in a poor environment for personal growth and success:
...Push the cart, serve the drinks, lose your pension, warm and genuine attentiveness, no hotel van, go marketrak go, plate the entree, stay onboard until everything reasonable has been done, lose bunch-o-percent from your paycheck, those pesky flight attendants....
Habituation leads to numbness and stagnation. So, it's time to fire up your mental state. We're going to start with some inspiration.
We'll start Plan B by some good reading. If you've already read the books below, well then go ahead and read them again. Your flying partners have recommended some others as well.
Here they are:

How to Win Friends & Influence PeopleThis is the King of them all. It should be reread at least once per year. If you haven't yet read this one, I can't recommend it enough. This book has been around for over 50 years, and is just as applicable today as it was the moment it was written. Purchase from Amazon >> |

The Magic of Thinking BigThis one is my personal favorite. It will help you succeed no matter where you are in your life. I love the writing style. The examples and real-life stores are very interesting and easy to follow. |

Don't Sweat the Small Stuff...and It's All Small StuffThis book has saved my life on several occasions, like when I get cut off by THSUVPD's* on the highway. Small chapters, easy to read. * Tailgating and Honking Sport Utility Vehicle Prick Drivers |
