As you can see, I'm still not eligible for widebody qualified Premium Vacation hours in 2004. You can also see that I haven't worked the premium Galley position once this year! You should carefully review your DFAP and Monthly Flight Time Records to make sure your hours match.

Eligibility for Premium Vacation Pay

From Unimatic DIS*32663

There are two criteria that need to be met in order for a F/A to receive premium purser pay during their vacation.

First criterion: the F/A must be eligible. In order to be eligible for premium vacation pay in the current year, a F/A must have flown at least 450 hours in a premium position the previous year. The vacation premium screen lists eligibility for the current year as well as the following year. If a F/A attains the 450 hour requirement, the vacation premium screen will indicate a "yes" up to the highest level of premium vacation pay the F/A is eligible for.

For example, to be eligible for international purser pay during a scheduled vacation, a F/A must have flown at least 450 hours as an international purser in the previous year. If the 450 hours are combined from different categories, vacation premium pay is based on "bundling" of premium hours and paid at the lowest rate involved in the bundle.

Second critera: once a F/A is eligible for premium pay, the type of position awarded during the vacation period determines the rate of vacation premium pay. The vacprm screen indicates the highest level of pay a F/A is eligible for. Although a F/A may be eligible for vacation premium pay based on hours shown in the vacprm screen, the position award will dictate the actual rate of pay. For example, if a F/A is eligible for aft purser pay (indicated in the vacprm screen), but is awarded an economy aisle position during a vacation month, this F/A is not eligible to receive vacation premium pay.
