Under the terms of our contract, we have the ability to keep a set of bid information on file in the computer. If you are unable to bid for any reason (say you are away on a long vacation during bid time), the computer will look at your stored bid information and actually place the bids for you.

This is also one of those screens that gives me a headache to think about trying to explain how to fill out. Luckily there's a PERBID guide available:

Effective March 6, the second page of the Permabid (PERBID and PERRLF) screens will be modified. The changes eliminate the display of 727, 747-100/200 and D10 equipment, as United no longer operates these aircraft.

This a shortened version of the manual was placed in our domicile mailboxes awhile back.  It explains the PermaBid process.
