DIS*123 Changes

Date: October 10, 2007

Several Unimatic programming changes will go into effect Oct. 15. These changes are designed to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the information provided via DIS*123, which will improve the process for follow up and resolution. September data shows that one-third of the reports submitted contain one or more flight-specific information errors.

Flight attendants will continue to input DIS*123 reports as they do today. However, with these changes:

  • Unimatic will automatically match the flight and date entered in the report with the segments in the reporting flight attendant’s ID. This improves the ability for follow up. If no match is found, flight attendants will receive an automated error response and will be prompted to verify and re-enter the flight-specific information.
  • Unimatic will accept DIS*123 reports for any flight segment already completed in the current month. DIS*123 reports for flights flown in the previous month will also be accepted until the 10th of the following month.

Please submit feedback concerning flights no longer visible in your Unimatic LOF display via SkyNet.

The SkyNet DIS*123 form was also updated with pull down menus and a character counter to make it more efficient and user friendly. To quickly access, use Google search on the SkyNet home page, entering DIS*123.

Concise, detailed information ensures reports are actionable. Be as specific as possible when providing information. Report actual quantities instead of using terms like “not enough” and “too much”.

Feedback from flight attendants through DIS*123 is responsible for many changes that help improve the customer experience. The Crew Feedback Team greatly appreciates the time flight attendants take to submit DIS*123 reports.
