....... question #19 on the United Pass Travel Survey.
You know, the survey question that asks employees if they will support: "a leadership program that will provide supervisors (such as Maintenance Supervisor, HUB Supervisor and Inflight Supervisor) and managers (such as HUB manager, Cargo Operations Manager and Tech Ops Manager) with a minimum of 3 years of company service and a minimum of 2 direct reports a higher boarding priority.”
Are they out of their minds?
Good grief, has everyone over there just gone plain insane in the membrane?
Seriously, there are so many things wrong with this idea I don't even know where to begin.
Including, of course, the major problem in my opinion: that it destroys the fairness of United Airlines travel benefits: NRSA pass travel boarding by seniority.
It's demeaning. It's unnecessary. It's insulting.
And it does nothing to improve the goodwill of the United Airlines employees (except, of course, for the 3-year GO TEAM GO! employee stealing the last available 767 seat away from a 35-year veteran).
There are many other ways to allocate incentives to employees without making the rest of the group unhappy, revoking NRSA fairness, and tarnishing one of the last remaining reasons to work in the airline industry.

Unless I’ve read the question wrong or am just on a different planet than everyone else. Or perhaps they don’t seriously propose this idea and are just trying to get everyone shocked so they receive a lot of survey responses.
C’mon United.
You can do much better than that.
