Date: Sep 11, 2009

heart in cloudsIt's not about an infamous date circled on a calendar.

It's not about interrupting a presidential speech or yet more health care bickeroo.

It's not about the Beatles and videogames.

It's not about speculation and claims of further conspiracies.

It's not about "team coverage" on TV news and images of bodies falling off buildings.

It's not about dwindling tributes and lack of remembrance for what happened eight years ago.

It's not about Plan B.

It's not about a sequential frame-by-frame look at United Flight 175 crashing into the south tower of the World Trade Center.

It's not about being an excuse for airline bankruptcies.

It's not about long lines at airport security or more USA Today articles on how summer travel sucks.

It's not about how the world will never be the same.

It's not about any of that.

Today is about Michael and Amy, Alicia, Robert, Wanda, Victor, Sandra, CeeCee, Jason, Lorraine, Jesus, Marianne, Deborah, Alfred, Michael, Amy, Leroy, Kathryn, and the hundreds of other people who were friends, lovers, crewmembers, heroes, and above all else, sweet and wonderful souls.

Reflect, remember, and love these people forever.
