Special Two or Three-Month Special Leave of Absence

Worldwide Flight Attendant Scheduling has determined that we have the opportunity to award Special Leaves of Absence (LOAs) for a two or three-month period: September through November 2007.  Place your request on file using LOAREQ in Unimatic for the September - November Special LOA(s) before 0830 Central Time on Wednesday, August 15, 2007 .  The bid period(s) should be requested using the any or all of the following type and dates: SP, 08/31/07-11/30/07 and/or SP, 08/31/07-10/30/07, SP 10/01/07- 11/30/07.

The first priority will be the three month special leave requests followed by the two month special leave requests.

Awards will be posted Wednesday, August 15, 2007 by 17:30 Central Time.

Please be sure to review the entire Special LOA packet on SkyNet (Onboard Service Homepage/Flight Attendant Service Center/Leave of Absence Homepage) for the impact on vacation, insurance, sick leave accrual, pass travel and possibly seniority.

At this time there may be a possibility of 30-day ANP for the September schedule month however, in order to provide those interested in the most discretionary time off at one time we will first offer the Special Leaves of Absence.

Whether you intend to bid or not, every flight attendant should check the LOAREQ screen to ensure there is not a request on file that is no longer wanted.
