Pan Am Distribution

Source: Other

Date: Sep 15, 2006

NOTE: One of our Crew Lounge members forwarded this notice to us.  It concerns a distribution that Pan Am made regarding the Lybian Settlement Funds.

For what I'm told, you should call instead of email (as emails are ignored) and see if this applies to you.  Also, the info below I'm told is somewhat deceiving. You had to work for Pan Am in January 1991.  So, if you were furlughed in September 1991, you may still have a shot at this.

Subject: Distibution of $30 million from Lybian Settlement Funds

Most of you have already been made aware of this, but if you have moved, you may not have received any information. Please pass this information on to everyone you know who may be eligible.

If you were an employee of Pan American World Airways, Inc. on the day they ceased operations - December 4, 1991 - you are probably eligible for a portion of the $30 million settlement from the Libyan government. You should have already received a letter regarding this matter. If you have not, you must contact: Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., Pan Am's distribution agent, as soon as possible, but in no event later than November 1, 2006, in order to update their contact information. Pursuant to court approved procedures for the final distribution, Administrative Creditors who cannot be located may forfeit their right to participate in the final distribution.

Creditors with questions about individual claims or the final distribution, or who wish to update their contact information, should call Wells Fargo's toll-free service and information line: 877 813-3539 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. EDT, Monday - Friday

or e-mail: panamliquidationtrust@trumbullgroup.com

or write to:
Pan Am Liquidation Trust
c/o Wells Fargo Bank, N.A.,
P.O. Box 2370
Minneapolis, MN 55402-0370

Again, please contact anyone you know who is eligible and has moved.
