From MEC E-Lines: (Nov 4, 2006)

As of November 8, 2006 employees and their travel eligibles including parents may use six new service charge-waived segments.  These flights, however, are not available for companions.  In order to use the awarded segments, they must be chosen for each flight during the listing process.  Once in Weblist:

  • Enter departure city, date, and time followed by arrival city, return date and time, then click on “Search Flights
  • Choose desired flight then click on “Select Flights
  • Verify flight segments, then click on “Add Passenger Information
  • Check box in front of passenger traveling
  • Click on drop down arrow under “Travel Program.” In order to waive travel service charges, you must select the Performance Incentive option under Travel Programs when listing for a desired flight segment then click on Continue.
  • When the record confirmation number appears, it means your listing was successful.

We received a cautionary note from another AFA Member warning fellow flying partners to be careful when choosing the Performance Incentive in the drop down box.  If it remains highlighted in blue after you have picked it, this may cause the pull down menu to return to charged service.  You need to make sure that it is no longer highlighted before continuing and to ensure that you are not charged.
