Here is some misc info about BOB's expansion:

Beginning Sept. 7, Buy On Board will expand to several more Hawaiian markets and into Central America. Snack boxes, fresh sandwiches, and salads for purchase will replace complimentary meals on flights from Chicago and Denver to/from Hawaii as well as our Central America (Guatemala, San Salvador and San Jose, Costa Rica) flights.

Flights with BOB

With this latest expansion, BOB now covers North America (excluding p.s.), Canada, the Caribbean, Central America, Hawaii and Mexico (excluding Mexico City).

  • The four varieties of snack boxes are available on all Ted flights over 2.5 hours long and all mainline flights over 3.5 hours.
  • The fresh menu items, along with the snack box varieties are available on all flights over 5 hours long that depart prior to 8:00 p.m.

No More Menus

Because descriptions of the snack boxes and fresh menu items are now in Hemisphere’s magazine, the separate snack-box paper menu and the fresh-food menu will be discontinued. Passengers can find the BOB menu page in the Entertainment guide, along with the list of available beverages.

Note: Menus will continue to be boarded until current inventory is depleted.

New revenue bag

The new United Revenue Bag will make its debut in mid September on all North America flights. The larger, more secure and tamper-evident bag is designed to hold the cash from all liquor AND Buy On Board sales. For your convenience, all cash-management procedures are printed right on the Revenue Bag, and the attached pouch holds all associated paperwork. Samples will be sent to all domiciles by the end of August so you can become familiar with the new bag.
