I don't know if the following story is true or not---it's filled up enough flight attendant inboxes and discussion boards that's for sure---but it's hilarious!  Besides, it's gotten Jane Allen more attention than anything I've seen yet since her arrival at United!

On with the story or the tall tale or whatever...

Jane attempted to conduct a town hall style meeting on November 16, 2004 at ORDSW. Jane Allen fielded questions from Flight Attendants regarding the company's latest demands for changes to our Collective Bargaining Representative.

She concluded the meeting (which began at 0930) by saying, "Guys, I have to stop here, I have been on my feet since 0930 this morning!" It was 1240. To say the place went up for grabs, is an understatement. The Flight Attendants laughed and shouted in disbelief. The most incredulous in attendance were crews who had just landed from Asia...it was an unbelievable moment.

One pilot said, "That line will be around the system by tomorrow morning."
