Right now, if you miss a scheduled training for whatever reason, it appears that three things happen:
You get a DNF code placed into your Line of Flying.
An "entry" is placed into your Work History (FDWH).
Documentation placed into your personnel file with an Absent Missed Training (ATR) code.
Beginning Sept 1, United is changing the 'DNF' code for missed training to a Did Not Train (DNT) code. Okay, whatever. But then there's the other code they created: DNM. This stands for Did Not Have Materials; meaning that you arrived without your Flight Attendant Operations Manual or didn't complete the CBT, etc...
In the Onboard Updates announcement (Aug 25), they cite the reasons for these code changes as "computer enhancements related to FAA record keeping compliance."
Imagine them getting more specific in the years ahead:
CODE | REASON |
FARV | Fell Asleep During Raft Video |
CBLL | Came Back Late From Lunch |
TODTHBS | Threw Open Door Too Hard; Broke Simulator |
TLAD | Too Late; Annie (Are You Ok?) Died |
