With the Holiday Season quickly approaching please take a minute to review the protocol for sick calls during the defined Holiday period:  December 20, 2016 to January 4, 2017. Flight Attendants who have had no absences in the prior twelve (12) calendar months will not be subject to the Medical Verification requirement imposed during defined holiday periods. The following information will apply at each pre-merger subsidiary in the following way:

CAL: Section 9.H.5 – Medical verification is required for sick leave usage for any pairing touching December 20, 2016 to January 4, 2017. A release from a physician will be required to return to work.

CMI: Section 11.I.5 – Medical verification will be required for any sick call during the defined Holiday period of December 20, 2016 to January 4, 2017. A release from a physician will be required to return to work.

Note: This requirement remains in effect until the applicable section(s) of our Joint Collective Bargaining Agreement (Section 13.C.) are fully implemented.

If you have questions about the medical verification process, please contact your Local Council Office
