Flight Attendants who are not on a flight assignment and plan to travel need to familiarize themselves with the most recent changes to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Security requirements that took effect on July 27th 2015. This change impacts not only those who are traveling as Space Available (SA), but also those traveling Positive Space (PS) and all eligible pass riders.  When traveling, all must enter the sterile area via a TSA checkpoint (Known Crewmember – only Crewmembers) and be cognizant that if you exit sterile or secure areas rescreening may be required.  This does not apply to crewmembers working a flight or deadheading as part of a flight assignment.

For more specific details related to these new TSA requirements, please view United’s Inflight Services Safety Alert posted on July 24, 2015. If you have any further questions please contact your local domicile supervisor or file an IOR.
