The CAL, CMI and UAL Master Executive Councils met on Thursday October 29th to receive an update from the JNC following our first mediation session with United management. The JNC walked through all the open issues of our proposed new Contract, which included a review of our comprehensive Scheduling, Hours of service and Reserve proposal that we presented to the Company in our last session.

We will sit down with the Company on November 3rd for our next mediation session, when we expect them to respond to our comprehensive proposal. As we told the Company when we first walked them through our proposal, we believe it forms the basis for how scheduling should be handled and they should build off of it in order to move these negotiations forward. We also anticipate further discussion on the training proposal they gave to us.

Following this next mediation session we will be preparing a newsletter to more fully update you on the status of negotiations and our proposals.

The JNC greatly appreciates your support and solidarity as we attempt to focus the Company on getting to an agreement. We see your red AFA pins and we know the Company does too. Keep it up!
