United Airlines CEO Oscar Munoz Suffers Heart Attack

Oscar Munoz, the CEO of United Airlines, has suffered a heart attack and has been rushed to a Chicago hospital.

The Wall Street Journal reported that United directors are waiting to hear back from Munoz' family to learn more about the severity of the heart attack.

"We have been informed by Oscar's family that he was admitted to the hospital on Thursday and we will provide further details as appropriate," United Airlines said in a brief statement. "In the meantime, we are continuing to operate normally. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and we are respecting their privacy."

The condition of Mr. Munoz is unknown.
