Ladies and Gentlemen:

The United Master Executive Council has met in Special Session and reviewed another crossover proposal from management.  A complete copy of the proposal is available on our website and is different than the 2012 Cross Over Hiring Agreement. 

Upon consideration of the proposal the United Master Executive Council has directed me to respond to the proposal by informing management that we would be interested in another crossover program that would be subject to:

• The timeline for bidding for a crossover would be subsequent to the Voluntary Furlough bidding and award process 

• Notwithstanding, the protections afforded under the Letter of Agreement – Protection Against Involuntary Furlough, there shall be no action on the part of management to involuntary furlough any United Flight Attendant

• Membership ratification

We are hopeful that management will consider this response to be constructive and responsive to their proposal and look forward to an affirmative answer so that we can begin the process of putting this before you for ratification.
