This week's negotiating session concluded in Los Angeles. Both parties engaged in an effort to narrow the differences between us on the issues of Military Flying, Passports, Visas and Uniforms.
We spent a good portion of this week working on Leaves of Absence and Military Flying. Additionally, the parties exchanged proposals on Duty Free, Crew Rest, Cabin Jumpseat Authority, Safety, Health and Security, Seniority and Uniforms.
We presented the company our proposal on Co-terminals, highlighted our concerns and proposed solutions to the issues identified by you. Co-terminals are airports serving a base/domicile in a geographic area. We have proposed a limited number of Co-terminals with a focus on addressing transportation problems between Co-Terminals.
This week, we received from company a proposal on Transitional Duty. Their proposal would require Flight Attendants to perform ground duties while on Occupational Leave of Absence. The company also proposed the terms and conditions for Meetings and Training.
We will regroup In Chicago to analyze and review the proposals we received from management, and prepare appropriate responses for our next session the week of November 4th.
We continue to monitor the status of negotiations with the other labor groups and look forward to again meeting with management in order to reach a Single Collective Bargaining Agreement for all Flight Attendants at the new United Airlines.
