The deadline for employees and retirees to confirm their dependants is April 27, 2012.  If you don't do this, your dependants will lose medical, dental and vision coverage through the company for 2012.

I almost blew this one myself---so perhaps some other people haven't done it yet.

You have until April 27, 2012, but just take care of it now so you won't have to worry about it.

How to Confirm Your Dependants:

1. Visit this page: https://united.intranet.ual.com/web/community.jsp?SID=EmplSvcs
2. Click on the All About Me link on the left side of the page.
3. On the next page, click on the Dependents - Healthcare link.

The usability on that web site is awful, so make sure you read carefully what you are clicking on. For example, you may get to a screen that talks about birth certificates, marriage certificates, etc. and in many cases, you don't need to submit that info.  Rather, you MUST click 'Confirm' at the bottom and get through the entire process or you are screwed.

Again, read EVERYTHING.  It's annoying, but you've got to do it and take care of it before April 27th.  Do not wait until the last minute.
