So what happens next?

Now that we've locked in some compensation, it's time to focus on a single, unified, industry-leading contract with United/Continental. And nothing else.

Of critical importance here is that United is now locked into beginning preparation for single contract negotiations within 60 days. What could have been delayed for months or years is now defined and specific.

Hey you: This means starting right now. My assumption is that flight attendant input as to what should be included in the single contract will be collected very soon. Usually, this takes the form of AFA surveys, roadshows, polls, or whatever. Make sure you follow the news and provide your feedback as to what you want to see achieved in the single contract. But provide your valuable feedback to your bargaining representatives, not to anyone else. Of course, you should contact your bargaining representatives directly with your feedback as well. You are their customer.

It doesn't matter what plane, flight number, or crew; it is always the flight attendants that make the difference and 88.5% of them took some action and voted.

Awesome level of participation today. The next turnout will be even higher.

Now, go to work United and Continental. Your 60-day clock is ticking.
