This is the Photo of the Month for October 2012. I took it at the Leather Souq in Fez, Morocco---the oldest leather tannery in the world. The large circles contain dyes. It's absolutely backbreaking work: outside temperatures of above 105*F and the men jump in and out of the stone vessels. The tannery processes the hides (skins) of sheep and goats, turning them into leather products such as bags, coats, shoes, etc.
