Now that we have paperless CJA travel available...the CSR's just check your UAL photo ID when you want to travel on a CJA pass...

A computer programming glitch has been discovered.

The computer lists your COMPANY seniority instead of your SW seniority for your CJA seniority.

A VERY BIG DEAL!!!

Be aware!

Don't know how soon they'll fix it.

Example: A friend on my SYD flight who commutes from DEN to SFO checked in in DEN as usual and handed over his CJA ticket.  The CSR said it wasn't necessary and just checked his ID. He sat down and waited.  When it was time, he walked up...there were several f/a's standing around...he asked if the CJA's had been processed and the agent said yes and that he could go on.

He came to work. After he got in...a f/a that had to take the next flight asked him what his seniority was...he said 76. She was a couple of weeks senior to him in 76...but he was 73 company seniority. The computer had used Company seniority. Another f/a was pass riding on her husband's 69 seniority. She was 71 company seniority and 72 SW seniority. She CJA'd and the computer had her 71 Company seniority.

It will fall on us to get it right and not violate another f/a's seniority until they fix it.

Paperless CJA Travel

Cabin Jumpseat Authority (CJA) travel is about to go ticketless as the CJA process is incorporated into the Departure Management (DM) system. The Customer Service Representative will verify your flight attendant identification and you will be placed on the departure management list according to your SW seniority. CJA travelers will then be cleared from the DM list to available cabin jumpseats. Most stations will have the ability to accommodate ticketless CJA travel later this month, but you should continue to carry paper CJA tickets until all stations have this capability. You will be advised to destroy all paper CJA tickets when all stations have transitioned to the new system. Cutoff times, as well as all other guidelines, policies and contractual provisions remain the same.
