United has teamed up with the publisher of "Hemispheres" magazine to create "The Age of Flight," a new book about that details history of the airline.

The book is 255 pages and includes 286 color and black-and-white photos and illustrations.

The book will be ready for distribution beginning Nov. 15 and will retail for 39 dollars and 95 cents. Employees and retirees can purchase the book at a discounted price of 19 dollars and 95 cents plus shipping charges. Employees and retirees can begin placing their orders now.

The book can be ordered directly from Airways International by calling, toll-free, 800-440-5166, or visiting their web site at www.airwaysmag.com. From their homepage, click on the "Airways Collection" icon near the top of the page. On the next page, under "Books," choose the "Airlines" category and list all titles.

Employees and retirees must provide their file number and choose the link with the code "AE-22" next to it to receive the discount. Airways International will accept MasterCard, Visa and American Express credit cards as payment. The shipping and handling charge per book is seven dollars and 50 cents.
