As the business, that is, all of the departments around Inflight prepare for the Flight Attendant transition to a common scheduling platform, that is a new CCS platform, the company is beginning to ensure the proficiency of those individuals who will be using the new CCS program to schedule Flight Attendants in response to changes that occur during the daily operation.

As one of the steps in this process, former schedulers who were very proficient in the process of rescheduling using Unimatic are being transitioned over to the pmCAL operation in order to ensure they are able to become familiar with the new CCS programs. As these individuals transition, they do not return to the pmUA Unimatic system. New, perhaps less experienced individuals are working to schedule pmUA Flight Attendants using Unimatic.

Effective as of June 1, 2018, Scheduling management has arranged for experienced support staff to be available to assist those who are doing the scheduling and answering the telephones. These support staff individuals are familiar with the distinct differences of each pre-merger operation. These dedicated schedulers are available during peak times making themselves to answer any questions that may come up from those schedulers who might be unfamiliar with more infrequent or nuanced situations.

During this transition time, it is especially important that Flight Attendants and Union volunteers remain vigilant with regard to Reserve scheduling procedures.  It’s important to remember we were all new somewhere at one time. If you encounter any irregularities that you are unable to resolve, please immediately report it to the MEC Reserve Committee via e-mail to reserve@unitedafa.org and contact your Local Council Office to request assistance in resolving any improper application of the Contract.
