Installation of the crew rest seats on the Boeing 767-400 fleet is provided for under the terms of the Letter of Agreement (LOA) #2 of our JCBA. While this work was initially on target for an estimated completion of March 31, 2018 as outlined in LOA #2, unanticipated delays associated with FAA approval of the interior design change and paperwork, the start of this project was unavoidably delayed. As a result, the estimated completion of this project has now been pushed into May. While the intent of the language in the LOA was to coordinate the installation of these seats with the heavy maintenance schedule for these aircraft, this plan was necessarily revised.

In an effort to bring completion of the crew rest seat installation closer to the date initially projected, the company has been and will continue to take aircraft out of service to expedite completion of this project in time for the summer travel season. We will continue to monitor the progress of the installation of the crew rest seats on this fleet and advise you of any further developments as they become known.
