Nagoya Moveup and Second Daily Roundtrip from LAX-NRT

CHICAGO, Nov. 12 -- United Airlines today announced it will move up by more than two months the launch of daily, nonstop service between San Francisco International Airport and Nagoya, and double the service between Los Angeles International Airport and Tokyo.

Service to the new Central Japan International Airport near Nagoya, Japan, will now begin March 26, 2005, rather than the original start date of June 1, 2005.  In addition, United is also launching a second daily service between Los Angeles and Narita International Airport serving Tokyo that will begin flying on June 7, 2005.  Both flights open for sale on Saturday, Nov. 13, 2004.

  • Flight 831 will depart San Francisco at 11:50 a.m. on March 26, 2005, and arrive in Nagoya the following day at 4:45 p.m.  From Nagoya, Flight 830 will depart at 3:55 p.m. on March 28, and arrive in San Francisco the same day at 8:25 a.m. United will operate the flights with a Boeing 777 aircraft that seats 258 passengers, 12 in United First, 49 in United Business and 197 in United Economy.
  • Flight 872 will depart Narita at 5:25 p.m. on June 7, and arrive in Los Angeles at 11:20 a.m. the same day.  Flight 873 will depart Los Angeles at 11:20 a.m. on June 7 and arrive in Narita at 2:55 p.m. the following day. Flights also will be flown with a B777 aircraft.
