New Uniform Changes

According to Larry De Shon's FLT-LINE's message on July 19th, flight attendants may now wear short sleeve shirts and blouses on international flights.   Therefore, it's okay to wear short sleeves with or without the tailored vest on all flights---domestic or international.

In addition, he stated that we  may now wear our "wings on the tailored vest in areas where the jacket is not required."  This is because: "Flight attendants have also requested a way to identify themselves as crewmembers when they have the option of not wearing the tailored jacket."

This change will definitely help with heat exhaustion from that new "uniform" we were issued earlier this year.  As far as identity is concerned, wearing the wings on the tailored vest helps, but should not be the permanent solution.

We need a clearly identifiable way to be recognized as crew members, and not just from a pin worn on the front of the uniform---but rather from something that can be seen from both the right and left sides, as well as from the back.
