Effective July 1, United is closing the Benefits Service Center (BSC) at World Headquarters and outsourcing the work to a company called ADP.

After tomorrow, you will need to use the following methods to make changes to your benefits resulting from family status changes or work events, as well as to get answers to benefits questions:

  • Call and speak to a service center representative at the new United Benefits Service Center at 1-888-825-0188 by selecting option 0. The representatives will be available to answer questions from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Central time, Monday through Friday.
  • Use the Internet: www.ualbenefits.com
  • In instances where a job reclassification or change of address affects your choice of medical or dental coverage, you will automatically receive a worksheet providing you with new benefit options. In these cases, you also may enroll through the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system by calling 1-888-825- 0188 and selecting option 1.

According to NewsReal, "a letter has been sent to the homes of all employees on the U.S. payroll, providing more details about these changes."
