Source: Archived Content

Date: May 30, 2003

From the May 16 DEAR AFA Recording comes the following:

As we told you last week, UAL Payroll had implemented a premature reduced vacation pay for reserves.  According to the Restructuring Agreement, these reductions are not scheduled until 2004.

The Company has now agreed this should not have been implemented until 2004 and will begin a Payroll and credit time fix on Monday.  Labor Relations expects that the fix will be completed by Wednesday, May 21.

Flight Attendants with Reserve days in vacation time in the remainder of 2003 will be paid at the current rate of 4:27 for a 30 day month and 4:13 for a 31 day month. The cert code in your DFAP is 035 for Reserve vacation pay, and we encourage you to check that the adjustment is correctly made to your line and pay records next week.
