A new emergency command has been added to the Emergency Procedures section of the Flight Attendant Operations Manual (Inflight Handbook).

After you shout 'Release Your Seat Belt and Get Out!', you must then say:

"LEAVE EVERYTHING!"

This new command was established on March 1 to comply with the findings
of an evacuation study conducted by the National Transportation Safety Board.

It will be added to the May revision, and is a change from the April 2003 revision that states the new command is, “Leave Your Belongings.”

We will not, however, be tested on this in RET for 2003.
