Q. Why is United issuing these special passes?
A. Each eligible United employee is receiving these passes to help celebrate the hard work done this year, despite record load factors.

Q. Who's eligible to receive these passes?
A. All employees who were employed by the company on Oct. 15, 2003, and who are eligible for normal pass-travel benefits.

Q. When will I receive my passes?
A. All employees can expect to receive their certificates by Dec. 1, 2003. Employees based outside the U.S. will receive their travel certificates from their managers and U.S.-based employees will receive theirs at their home address in the mail.

Q. How can I verify that United will send my travel certificates to the correct address?
A. You should verify your home address on SkyNet by visiting PeopleNet, linking to "My Info" and then click on "My Personal Information." If the information is incorrect, see your supervisor.

Q. Why am I receiving a total of 12 certificates if the passes are good only for two round-trips?
A. Twelve certificates are being issued per employee, enough to complete two round trips with multiple segments.

Q. What if I don't need to use the entire 12 travel certificates for my travels?
A. Unused travel certificates should be destroyed.

Q. Where can I fly on these passes?
A. The passes are good for travel on United anywhere in the world.

Q. Can the passes be used on United Express?
A. There is no reason to use them on United Express as we currently do not pay service charges on UAX.

Q. Who else can use these travel passes?
A. You may use the certificates yourself to complete two round trips, take a single trip with one of your travel eligibles, or give both round-trips to one or two of your travel eligibles. Companion pass travel is not allowed on these passes.

Q. What is the boarding priority for these passes?
A. The boarding priority for the passes is BP-8.

Q. Am I responsible to pay anything for these passes?
A. Although these are service-waived passes, each employee is responsible for all applicable travel taxes and fees, as well as any taxes related to domestic partner imputed income. Taxes and fees may be found on the Travel page of SkyNet.

Q. What's the expiration date for the travel passes?
A. The travel passes may be used between Dec. 1, 2003 and Dec. 31, 2004.

Q. Am I eligible to fly first class on these free passes?
