Example of the TRNREQ screen

This is the screen that could eventually change your life, allowing you to move to many different corners of the earth.

To enter a transfer

  • Enter the domicile you are wishing to transfer to in the space after 1ST CHOICE (or 2ND CHOICE, if you already have a first preference).
  • Then move the cursor to the bottom the screen and press ENTER. You will see the message: INPUT ACCEPTED. That's it.

It can take up to week before your transfer is active in the system, so don't worry if you don't see your ranking right away.

To delete a transfer

Move the curser over the domicile(s) you have displayed after 1ST CHOICE or 2ND CHOICE and erase the text by using the space bar on your keyboard. Then move the cursor to the bottom the screen and press ENTER.

If your transfer has been awarded

Example of trnreq award screen

Once you are awarded a transfer, you will have the option to enter either a 'Y' or a 'N'. Tab to that field and then choose wisely. If you answer 'Y', then you will get the following screen:

another trnreq screen

On this screen, you would tab to the TRAVEL TO ORIENTATION field. Then either enter F for fly or D for drive to designate how you prefer traveling to your new domicile orientation. Then, tab to the GEOGRAPHIC TRANSFER field. Enter Y if it is your first geographic transfer or N if it is not your first geographic transfer.

Lastly, you should tab to the DO YOU ACCEPT field. If Y is entered in this field, the screen response will be YOU HAVE ACCEPTED TRANSFER AWARD. If N is entered in this field, the response will be YOU HAVE REJECTED TRANSFER AWARD.

Special Note

The transfers are usually awarded every Thursday. You can check the awards here on this site, or by going to DIS*35451.

If you have a request on file, don't forget to check the status at least once every two weeks! Once you have accepted or rejected the transfer, you cannot change the status---so again, make sure you know what you're doing!

If you reject the transfer, you may place another request on file once three months have elapsed from the date of refusal.
