United's printed timetable booklets, oh so very handy for commuters, are getting trimmed down to a smaller size.  From now on, they will only publish nonstop and direct flight information instead of every conceivable flight routing.

This is an excellent idea to come from the halls of WHQ, and of course---the rainforests thank you.

By the way...

There was a quote published on NewsReal yesterday that read:  "In addition to the cost savings, streamlining our timetable now will allow us to keep it to a manageable size if we add US Airways flights."

Um, well okay...but you know, the deal hasn't gone through yet folks, and it's still subject to D.O.J. approval.

Like I told you before, that drool for this US Airways deal drips down to China!
